Zoltan Horvath has been Head of Energy Management and Mining Department at the Ministry of National Development in Hungary since 2013. He is responsible for regulated energy businesses –electricity, gas, district heating- and the mining industry. He has established the mining concession scheme and launched already 4 licensing rounds within three years for 28 hydrocarbon, 5 geothermal and 1 coal investment opportunities in Hungary.
Previously he worked 17 years at MOL the integrated Hungarian Oil and Gas Company contributing to the successful inorganic regional growth strategy of the company by project managing mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining MOL he was employed at the State Property Agency dealing with portfolio management and privatizations via capital market transactions and sales to strategic and trade investors
